Shanna Austin, CMHC-A
Shanna is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate who works with clients using a collaborative, person-centered approach to therapy. She integrates principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals develop greater awareness of their thoughts, clarify their values, and make meaningful behavioral changes that align with the life they want to build.
Shanna has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and values developing individualized, evidence-based strategies to support the unique needs of each client. While her background includes supporting children and families, she enjoys working with individuals across a wide range of ages and life experiences.
Shanna is committed to creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges, building insight, and developing practical tools for growth and resilience. She is passionate about ongoing learning and continually refining her therapeutic approach to better serve the people she works with.
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Shanna moved to Utah as a child and quickly fell in love with the mountains and outdoor lifestyle. She now lives in Utah with her partner and their two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, playing board games with friends, and watching reality television—especially Bravo shows.
