Andrew Rice, FNP, PMHNP

Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Andrew Rice, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude, from Weber State University. He later completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, followed by post-graduate certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the same institution. Andrew is board-certified through both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Andrew’s background in family medicine gives him a unique perspective on the relationship between physical health and mental well-being. This integrated training allows him to approach care with a holistic mindset, considering both physiological and psychological factors when developing treatment plans. He is particularly interested in identifying and addressing underlying contributors to mental health conditions rather than focusing solely on symptom management. His goal is to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvement in their overall functioning and quality of life.

Andrew enjoys working with patients across the lifespan and has particular clinical interests in ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, and addiction treatment. He also speaks Spanish and Russian at a conversational level, which helps him connect with a broader range of patients and families.

Outside of clinical practice, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and their cat. He is an accomplished musician and plays several instruments, including the clarinet, alto saxophone, flute, piano, and organ. He volunteers weekly with the West Jordan Community Band and enjoys studying languages in his spare time.
